Holding a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Southern QLD, Grace is also currently pursuing the prestigious designation of becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Born and raised in the charming Darling Downs region, Grace Middleton has deep-rooted connections to the local community, including a family farm situated in Cambooya. 

With a strong work ethic instilled from a young age, Grace gained extensive experience in bookkeeping while assisting with the family farming business.

Following graduation from high school, Grace embarked on a fulfilling career in auditing. Accumulating 2.5 years of valuable experience in a mid-tier audit firm, Grace worked on diverse client portfolios, ranging from self-managed super funds (SMSF) and trust accounts to associations, not-for-profit organisations, and large agricultural and construction companies. This exposure provided a solid foundation in auditing practices and deepened Grace's understanding of the unique challenges faced by various entities.

To further broaden Grace's accounting expertise, a transition was made to a Financial Accounting role at a local agricultural product wholesaler. This role encompassed managing international business transactions, overseeing management accounting activities, and gaining insights into payroll and human resources functions. Spending 12 months in this role enhanced Grace's overall accounting proficiency.

Since joining JG Audit in early 2022, Grace Middleton has made significant contributions to the team. Paul Best is an accomplished auditor at JG Audit, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in accounting and finance. With a Bachelor of Accounting & Finance from Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and qualifications as a Chartered Certified Accountant, Paul is well-versed in delivering high-quality audit services.

Paul's professional journey began when he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004, becoming a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants. In 2006, Paul made the exciting decision to emigrate to Australia, joining PwC in Melbourne as an Audit Senior. His exceptional skills and dedication propelled him to an Audit Manager position at LRK Walkers (now Findex) in Toowoomba in 2008.

Throughout his career, Paul has embraced diverse financial roles, including working in the legal profession and the manufacturing industry. His breadth of experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies and unique challenges faced by various sectors. Additionally, Paul's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish and operate a successful financial advice business for five years.

Since joining JG Audit in mid-2021, Paul Best has been an invaluable asset to the team. His extensive knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence have made a significant impact on the quality of services provided to clients.

Outside of his professional endeavours, Paul is actively involved in his community. He serves as the Treasurer for the Toowoomba West Special School, where he contributes his financial acumen to support the school's important initiatives. Paul's dedication to financial management extends further as a Director of a bookkeeping practice, where he leverages his expertise to help businesses maintain accurate and compliant financial records.

Tahlia joins JG Audit with a fresh perspective and a drive to excel in the field of audit and accounting. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting at QUT, she is dedicated to laying a strong foundation for her future career. Upon completion of her degree, Tahlia plans to embark on the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA), demonstrating her commitment to professional development and excellence.

With a Diploma of Business completed in 2019, Tahlia brings a solid understanding of business principles to her role. Hailing from Lowood, she is deeply rooted in her local community and is passionate about contributing to its success. Prior to joining JG Audit, Tahlia gained practical experience working at her family's business, Lockyer Bins, where she assisted with bookkeeping duties. Outside of work and studies, Tahlia enjoys researching houses to buy and playing netball.
